If you are like me, you are always looking for a bargain when it comes to baby essentials. Let face it, baby supplies are expensive and they won't be getting cheaper anytime soon. With that being said, I'm always looking for the cheapest places to get baby food for Acee (my 8 month old) and his growing appetite. Well, this time I wasn't looking, this bargain found me. (Even better!)
Adrian Sr. and I were in search for a new comforter set for our bed a few weeks ago. We had been searching that entire day. We decided to go into Big Lots, a store we used to go in a lot during our dating years. We hadn't been in there in a while due to us moving to a different part of town.
We found our comforter set and I just had to go to the baby section (as I tend to do in every store I go in). I came across some baby food that was priced .50 cents. These were the double pack re-seal-able containers.
I immediately thought the baby food was priced to sell quickly due to an upcoming expiration date, but that was not the case. The baby food was not due to expire until next year. I thought to myself "You got to be kidding me there is no way they are selling this stuff for over half the price." "What's the catch?"
Still in disbelief I loaded up on the items and checked out. It wasn't an error and they weren't on sale. This was the regular, everyday, store price.
After I left I still was not convinced that these prices were real.
A few weeks later after the supply dwindled I decided to go to another Big Lots location to see if they offered the same low prices. To my surprise they had the same prices and some cheaper ones too! (I listed everything I got and the prices below). I normally buy baby food from Walmart or Target, but Big Lots is now where I will be buying baby food!!!!

They also had the Plum Organics pouches at the second location I went to. The locations carried different varieties of brands and flavors. Item availability could differ in different areas, cities or states. I live in Memphis, TN and I am not sure if available anywhere else.
